HOLY STRAYS (NOT NOT FUN/FR) + CANKUN (NOT NOT FUN/FR) + MANUEL CARVALHO (BCN): 11 de Enero, BARCELONA

Hi all!

Our first show of 2011 will present two more acts of one our favorite labels right now, Not Not Fun.
Holy Strays and Cankun, alongside with Manuel Carvalho, will be presenting their latest material in Miscelanea on the 11th of January. It will be a night full of electronica, beats, and psychedelia, don't miss it!
Three high quality acts for 6 euro, members of Miscelanea pay 5 euro, check out the videos to see if you like it!

HOLY STRAYS (NOT NOT FUN/ FR)
Holy Strays is the recently adopted nom de plume of a young Paris-based producer, who delivers equally massive and intimate beats. His sub bass grooves and frenetic rhythms usually melt with atmospheric patterns, with a sound sometimes aluding to nu-jazz, R&B or even jungle. In a year or so HS remixed Forest Swords and shared the stage with Sun Araw, Prince Rama, Terror Bird, Ela Orleans, High Wolf, Cankun and Cough.

CANKUN (NOT NOT FUN/ FR)
French haze aesthete Vincent Caylet has been active on the marginal music frontlines in various capacities for several years at this point but Cankun is a even brighter-lit hideaway of mirages to pass out in. Chiming guitars balance-beam above looping heatwaved keyboards. Escapist, joyous, and psychedelically sunburned in equal measure.

MANUEL CARVALHO (BCN)
Manuel Carvalho makes synthetic psychedelia with noise and drone parts. His music consists of electronic elements that incorporate figures and oriental considerations, a maximalist micro-cosmos crowded by samples of persian rock, space ships, water aliens and synth solos of breeze-waving hair and with face forward to the sky. He will present his recently released EP "Manta" together with new and unedited material.
